Case Number: SCSD 130202-011 NamUs MP # 19215
Circumstance: Jason left home around 10 am on Friday, Feb. 1st. His wife, Rebecca Kyles, reported that when she left for work at 7 am that day Jason seemed fine. When she got home from work at around 6 pm his wife discovered a note saying that Jason had gone to New York to visit his cousin and that he would be back soon. His cell phone was turned off and his behavior was out of the ordinary. Jason’s wife and his mother decided to freeze his bank account so that he couldn’t access money and would be forced to call them. Saturday morning, Feb. 2nd, Rebecca received a call from the Sonoma Sheriff’s Office reporting that they had located Jason’s truck on private property after receiving a call from a woman that had spoken with Jason. Jason was seen entering Annadel State Park around 9 am. His wife got to the trail-head about 2 pm and started handing out a flyer and asking people if they had seen him. At 5 pm, a bike rider came down the trail to report he had seen Jason walking slowly on the trail two miles up. He was naked and without shoes. He has not been seen since. Search and rescue conducted many searches from Feb. 2nd to Feb. 7th and then again on Feb. 17th. Jason’s clothing that he had been wearing on Monday was recovered. His wallet, leather shoes, t-shirts with business logo, and brown twin-sized quilt have not been accounted for. There were foot prints found between Two Quarry Trail and Burma Trail close to the Oakmont area.
This candle will burn until Jason is brought home.
